Donald Driver-Green Bay Packer

This drawing I did of wide receiver Donald Driver of the Green Bay Packers was inspired by a daydream I had.
I found out he was coming to town to a Walmart, and the next morning when I got up, went to the shower, I had a daydream to draw a picture, go to meet him, give him the drawing, and he would show all his packer friends and make me very happy.....Well I pondered it and thought, that would never happen...when I told my mom and everyone else of the daydream, they all kind of motivated and inspired me to do it...in other words some times I need a good kick in the rear to get started. So I started going online looking for pictures. Which I have to give credit to the original photographer: Jim Biever, you can find original photo on Packers.com under games 2002, Packers vs. Falcons. [link] found the pic I wanted, drew it, met Donald Driver, gave him the original made a print copy I brought along, and he was nice enough to autograph it, and stated he liked it, let me take a pic with him. and the rest is history...the cool part was he asked if I could do more for Donald Driver Foundation for a silent auction, asked for my email. And wrote me back, but my procrastination and having 20 million things going on at once, never got around to it yet. so hopefully, someday I will still have the oppurtunity...

In regards to the drawing and the original photo, had 10 days to get this done between working two jobs and juggling household chores. Took 10 hours estimated to complete.. but when you look at the photo, you will see quite a few differences....where the drawings just ...not...quite..right...
If I still had the original I would go back to it, but what is done is done....and I am still happy with this one..originally done in 2003, I think in March.
Anyway enough of my babbling...and hope all who sees likes it!!

I consider him a hero to many not just for catching Favres hard passes...but he also has a Donald Driver foundation that helps to house homeless mothers with children...which I find to be awesome!!
